A SUBMARINE captain has been sacked for making a sex video while in command of nuclear missiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officer was kicked out of the Royal Navy after top brass saw the X-rated footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was in command of a Vanguard-class nuclear submarine armed with Trident Two doomsday weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The captain shared the graphic film with a junior sailor who served aboard the same submarine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crewmates claimed the pair had an illicit physical relationship when the \u00a34billion sub was at sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, a Royal Navy source said sex on board did not form part of their investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy chiefs accused the submarine captain of sharing X-rated selfies as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officer \u2014 who had met \u00adPrincess Anne and was made an OBE for top-secret work \u2014 had moved on to a desk job when the footage and \u00adphotographs were revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was immediately suspended before being sacked shortly afterwards under a \u201czero tolerance policy\u201d to \u00adsexually unacceptable behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scandal is another major blow to the Navy amid a chronic shortage of submarine staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officer had passed the gruelling Perisher course to win command of a nuclear-powered submarine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was one of the youngest officers to captain a hunter-killer vessel before taking over a Vanguard-class, known as a \u201cbomber boat\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Royal Navy has four nuclear-armed submarines, with a vessel always at sea in readiness to launch against Britain\u2019s enemies in response to a nuclear attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vanguard sex footage follows claims that a different submarine captain put his manhood in the pocket of a female sub-lieutenant on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And in 2017, a sub captain and his deputy were accused of having affairs with two junior female officers on board HMS Vigilant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Royal Navy told The Sun last night: \u201cAll forms of unacceptable behaviour are taken extremely seriously and anything which falls short of the highest standards will not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
